The split bet tool is closing for the 2025-2026 playoffs. From April 15 to May 25, we published daily signals based on championship odds for the teams in our contender shortlist. Here are the final numbers.
Over 41 days of coverage, the tool detected 13 actionable opportunities where the combined odds on our contenders created a guaranteed-profit split. We only counted signals with a projected ROI of 1% or above. The average ROI across those 13 signals was 2.91%.
On a $100 stake per signal, that translates to $37.83 in risk-free profit over the period. The remaining 28 days returned no actionable signal, which is the tool working as intended: no forced bets, no marginal plays.
Three teams remain in the 2026 playoffs: Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and New York. All three are part of our championship contender shortlist. Since every remaining team is one of ours, the odds no longer create a split opportunity. The market has converged with our model.
This also means the contender prediction is locked in. Whichever team wins the title, it will be a team our model identified before the playoffs began. That extends our streak to 15 consecutive seasons: every NBA champion since 2012 has appeared on our contender shortlist.
Each day, we pulled championship odds from major sportsbooks and calculated whether splitting a stake equally across our contenders would guarantee a positive return regardless of outcome. When the combined implied probability dropped below 100%, a window opened. When it didn't, we said so.
The interactive calculator remained available every day, letting users input their own book's odds to check for opportunities specific to their sportsbook.
Our model also identifies daily value bets throughout the season. +15.8% ROI over 3 seasons of tracked results.
